Jauch's JT21G series are temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) that have been specially developed for use in navigation devices. Satellite-based navigation systems (such as GPS and GNSS) are especially demanding regarding the precision and frequency stability of an oscillator. These high standards are met by the JT21G that guarantees frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The TCXO enables precise positioning even under the most demanding external conditions.
Navigation applications are frequently exposed to temperature fluctuations in everyday life. When developing the JT21G, special attention was paid to the influence of ambient temperature on the frequency stability of the TCXO. With a maximum change of 0.1 ppm per temperature step (maximum 2°C) and hysteresis of maximum 0.6 ppm, the JT21G meets the requirements of all common navigation applications.
The JT21G is available in the frequencies of 26.0 MHz and 38.4 MHz for navigation systems. A supply voltage of either 1.8 V or 3.3 V is required to operate the TCXO. The device is housed in an ultra-compact miniature package measuring 2.0 mm x 1.6 mm x 0.7 mm. It has a clipped-sine output and is optimized for low power consumption. The JT21G TCXO is ideally suited for use in small, portable devices. The JT21G is 100 percent lead-free and RoHS and REACH compliant. It also complies with conflict minerals regulations.
